WHAT WE DO
These guides facilitate discovery of recommended "points of interest" in any geography and encourage exploration of the surrounding area, which in turn increases engagement and benefits local businesses and economy.
The initial version app was created for a public art exhibition held in honor of the bicentennial celebration in Ossining, NY.
Called "Ossining in 3D", the app received rave reviews from the town officials, the participating artists, the local business
community, and of course the visitors.
Subsequent to the Ossining implementation, the current "platform" version of the app was developed, to allow various tours
from multiple locations to co-exist within a single application.
Otocast currently offers guides for over 60 locations, with over 1300 individual points of interest in areas such as for public art, murals, historic landmarks, architecture, monuments, and other points-of-interest that get people more engaged with their surroundings, encourage exploration, and spend more time enjoying the area. There has also been more interest in using the app for scavenger hunts, education, games, arts/culture, history, general interest - any area you wish.
